We do all of it ourselves in Ashland and ship to customers around the country. The business has grown past what one person can do, and this is its first hire. It is a regular, year-round job, not seasonal help. What you will do Pack and ship the day's online orders: pull each order, check it against the packing slip, wrap and box it, print the label, and have it ready for the carrier. Most days that is 35 to 50 packages, and more in November and December. Keep fulfillment records current, flag address problems and out-of-stock items, and prepare replacements for damaged or missing shipments. Mix, bottle, and label finished products in the workshop from a written batch sheet, and record what was made. Count finished goods, bottles, caps, boxes, and labels on a schedule, record the counts, and flag before anything runs short. Receive deliveries, check them against the order, and put stock away where it belongs. Keep workspaces clean, organized, and stocked so the next day starts ready. Over time, take over supplies and reordering, and run the packing and production rooms as your own. Who does well here Detail oriented. For example, you check order contents against packing slips every time and catch mistakes before shipments go out, and follow product recipes and standards diligently. Reliable. We ship daily, so consistency and communication are paramount. Ready to learn. We will train you on product formulas and recipes, fulfillment software, packing and production standards, and more. Comfortable working alone. After training you will run most days by yourself from a checklist, with me in and out daily. Experience in packing, shipping, production, a commercial kitchen, or a stockroom helps. It is not required. What the job looks like, day-to-day Review and fulfill online orders every morning prior to USPS/ UPS pickups. Re-stock finished goods inventory and packing materials, and process returns. Mix/ bottle/ label finished goods according to recipes & standard processes every afternoon (after orders are fulfilled). It is quiet. Most days it is you, the orders, and whatever you like to listen to. The work can be physical and repetitive. You are on your feet most of the day and the job includes lifting boxes up to 40 pounds. Production rooms smell strongly of conifer essential oils during mixing and bottling. November and December are the busy season. We need you here in the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so vacation waits until January. We do not have a group health plan. We pay a $400 a month health allowance toward coverage you choose. What you get $28 an hour from the first day. We sit down at 90 days to review how it is going, and the next step from there is more hours and running the packing room as your own. 30 hours a week, weekdays, daytime hours. We will work together to set your days and start times when you are hired. We can tailor your hours to your life (e.g., picking up kids), so long as you are consistent and work is completed daily. 6 paid holidays, 2 weeks of paid vacation, and paid sick time earned at 1 hour for every 30 worked. More hours are usually available in November and December if you want them, and a path to full time as the business grows. A $400 a month health allowance toward coverage you choose, and a retirement plan from January with a 3 percent match on what you put in.
