We are committed to developing high-quality, functional, and appealing products that enhance the lives of pets and their owners Position Summary The Product Development Coordinator supports the development and launch of new pet products from concept through commercialization. This role works closely with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and suppliers to research market opportunities, coordinate development projects, evaluate product samples, maintain product information, and support successful product launches. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about bringing innovative products to market. Key Responsibilities Product Development & Market Research Research market trends, customer needs, competitor products, and pricing to identify new product opportunities. Conduct competitor and category analysis to support product development decisions. Supplier & Product Coordination Coordinate with domestic and overseas suppliers regarding product specifications, samples, costs, and development timelines. Support sourcing activities and supplier communications throughout the development process. Sample Review & Product Evaluation Coordinate product samples, conduct evaluations, and document testing results. Provide recommendations for product improvements based on testing and customer feedback. Packaging & Product Launch Support Assist with packaging reviews and product information management. Support new item setup and product launch activities to ensure accuracy and timely execution. Project Coordination & Documentation Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Maintain development records, product documentation, and project updates. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce, Customer Service, and Operations teams to support product initiatives and launches. Trade Show & Event Support Assist with trade shows, supplier meetings, and industry events by coordinating product samples, displays, and supporting materials. Qualifications Must-Have Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Product Development, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, merchandising, purchasing, sourcing, category management, or a related role. Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research, competitor analysis, and product evaluations. Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and follow-through. Experience in consumer products, retail products, home goods, pet products, or related industries preferred.
