PRODUCE DELIVERY DRIVER

Job Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Produce Delivery Driver (On-Call), where you will play a vital role in ensuring fresh produce reaches our customers efficiently and safely. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for transporting produce using box trucks or personal vehicles, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations, and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks or personal vehicles to deliver produce orders to customers across designated routes Ensure quality of all produce being loaded onto your truck Load and unload produce, ensuring proper manual handling practices and safe lifting techniques are followed at all times Adhere strictly to traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and company policies during route driving Use mobile devices or delivery apps to navigate routes efficiently and update delivery statuses in real-time Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, addressing any questions or concerns with a friendly attitude Assist with warehouse operations when needed, including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks for moving stock within the warehouse Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards are met Previous warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly desirable Proven commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is preferred Strong knowledge of manual transmission vehicles and manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving produce Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Customer service skills that foster positive interactions during deliveries Ability to operate material handling equipment like pallet jacks safely and efficiently Comfort using mobile devices for route navigation and delivery updates Physical ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper lifting practices This role offers an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic delivery team.
