About the Role IGNIZA is hiring a Procurement Tech to support our fish processing operations. In this role, you’ll drive a 26’ flatbed truck out to the fishermen we buy from, ice and load their catch on site, and bring it back to our facility fresh, cold, and food-safe. You’ll be the face of IGNIZA for our fishermen, so good communication and reliability matter just as much as driving. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role for someone who is ready to show up, work hard, take ownership, and doesn’t mind getting wet or the smell of fish. What You’ll Do Drive a 26’ flatbed truck to pickup locations, with approximately 4–6 hours of drive time per shift Use GPS on your phone to navigate to docks, landings, and other pickup locations Schedule and confirm pickup times with fishermen and coordinate arrival times with the processing team Build and maintain good rapport with the fishermen we work with; communicate clearly, professionally, and on time Climb onto and walk on the trailer to add ice to fish totes as they are being filled Load, secure, and unload fish totes, including forklift operation (training provided) Keep the truck, trailer, and totes clean and in good working order; report maintenance or safety issues right away Use the company fuel card for gas and turn in receipts Follow SOPs, safety guidelines, and food safety standards Assist with warehouse and general site tasks between routes as needed This is not a desk job—you’ll be climbing, lifting, shoveling ice, and working outdoors in all kinds of weather. Quality & Food Safety Responsibilities Every pickup is the first step in our food safety chain. What happens on the truck directly affects the quality of the product we deliver to our customers. Bring a quality mindset to every pickup—if something doesn’t look, smell, or feel right, stop and flag it Perform quality checks on the spot at pickup (fish condition, temperature, ice coverage) and reject or report product that doesn’t meet standards Keep fish properly iced and cold from pickup to delivery Accurately complete pickup records (supplier, date/time, quantity, temperature checks) to support traceability Keep totes, the truck bed, and equipment clean and sanitary to prevent contamination Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and complete all required food safety training Report any food safety or quality concerns immediately to your supervisor or the Quality Manager Who We’re Looking For Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required) Must pass a background check and drug test before starting Comfortable driving a 26’ flatbed truck for 4–6 hours at a time Physically able to climb onto and walk on a trailer, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand, bend, and shovel ice for extended periods Comfortable handling raw fish in wet, cold, and smelly conditions Able to use GPS/navigation apps on a smartphone Strong organization and time management skills—able to plan pickups and stick to a schedule Good communicator who can build positive working relationships with fishermen Available for a flexible, on-call schedule, including weekends Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and a quality mindset Preferred (Not Required) Forklift experience (willing to train) Experience driving a flatbed or similar vehicle Experience in commercial fishing, food, agriculture, or cold-chain environments Pay & Schedule $24–30/hr Full-time; overtime eligible Flexible on-call schedule, including weekend availability Company card provided for gas Benefits: health, vision, dental Why IGNIZA IGNIZA is building a better pet food supply chain—one that’s sustainable, traceable, and built by people who care about doing things right. This is a great opportunity to join a growing operation early, prove yourself, and move up quickly. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour…
