Procurement Supervisor TO APPLY - PEAE VISIT :Job Opportunities - U.S. Embassy & Consulates in Canada - Available positions at the U.S. Mission Job Announcement # : Ottawa-2026-54 Job Overview The incumbent is responsible for the operation of the Procurement subsection in the General Services Office. The incumbent directly supervises four LES employees. The incumbent maintains a Contracting Officer warrant valid for purchases up to S25,000,00. This Subsection serves ICASS signatory agencies of the Mission, plus three constituent posts: Halifax, Quebec City and Winnipeg. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory General Service Officer or Assistant General Service Officer. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and supply chain needs Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable conditions. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan procurement schedules. Skills Proven vendor management skills with the ability to build strategic supplier relationships. Expertise in pricing negotiations and contract management. Excellent negotiation skills combined with analytical thinking. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
