Acting as the Department’s liaison with the Office of Procurement Services, you will coordinate construction, professional services, and intelligent transportation system contracts and ensure the Department of Transportation adheres to the Maricopa County Procurement Code, County policies, and Federal and State regulations. Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Three years of contract management, procurement, or purchasing experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or a related field Postgraduate degrees or professional-level-related experience may substitute for education or experience on a year-for-year basis Other Requirements Successful candidates must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, CAPA certification within six months of hire We Also Value One year of supervisory experience Experience with public sector contracting Experience in Construction procurement and contract administration Experience managing Job Order Contracts Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO) or Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification Job Contributions Plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate activities and the work of assigned staff. Responsible for Procurement staff assignment and monitoring, performance measurements, technical training, and hiring, with emphasis on proficiency, compliance, contract delivery, and excellent customer service Represent the Department of Transportation in all matters of procurement with professionalism and sound judgment.
