Procurement / Subcontracts Specialist - EPC Services (Engineering FEED/IFC, Design & Build, Construction)

GenSystems Power Solutions is adding a Procurement / Subcontracts Specialist to support engineering and construction services for North American AIDC, BESS, microgrid, and infrastructure projects. The position owns the commercial side of engineering services, FEED/IFC packages, Design & Build scopes, general construction, and specialty subcontracting. The role works with project and engineering teams on scope definition and technical evaluation while independently managing contractor sourcing, tendering, commercial evaluation, negotiation, subcontract administration, changes, claims, and commercial closeout. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a qualified North American contractor pool covering engineering firms, EPC contractors, general contractors, and specialty construction subcontractors. Conduct contractor qualification, capability, financial, compliance, and track-record reviews. Review scopes of work and interface boundaries with project and engineering teams. Issue RFQs and tender packages for engineering and construction services. Conduct commercial bid evaluations, clarifications, bid tabulations, and award recommendations. Lead negotiation of lump-sum pricing, unit rates, milestone payments, bonds, insurance, liability, change mechanisms, and claim provisions. Draft, review, and execute service contracts and subcontracts. Administer progress payments, invoicing, reconciliation, changes, claims, and commercial closeout. Maintain contract registers and commitment data. Track North American labor rates, contractor capacity, and construction-market pricing. Support project budgets and estimates with current market intelligence. Coordinate with project, e gineering, finance, and legal teams on commercial matters. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, quantity surveying, business, supply chain, or related discipline. 5+ years of commercial procurement, subcontracting, or contracts experience involving engineering services, EPC packages, construction contracts, or specialty subcontracts. Experience with EPC, construction, or engineering-service tendering. Familiarity with Lump Sum, GMP, Unit Price, and other construction contracting structures. Experience reviewing scopes of work and commercial contract terms. Experience managing change orders and claims. Ability to independently prepare commercial bid evaluations and contract reviews. Proficiency with Excel and ERP or contract-management systems. U.S.-based with valid work authorization.
