Complete Job Description Job Title: Procurement Specialist – Level 1 Job Location: Neumann Way, Evendale, OH 45215 Job Type: Contract W2 Job Summary The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for elevator manufacturing operations. This role ensures the timely availability of quality parts at competitive costs while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain. Job Responsibilities 3+ years of experience working in the Sourcing and Procurement domain . Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and structural components used in elevator systems. Manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and convert them into Purchase Orders (POs) using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc. Ensure timely procurement of materials to support production schedules and new product development. Coordinate with logistics teams for inbound deliveries and customs clearance, if applicable. Resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and discrepancies. Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and localization initiatives . Work closely with Engineering teams for alternative material or supplier development. Communicate effectively and negotiate with suppliers. Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams to understand material requirements. Address supplier quality issues and support root cause analysis. Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects for sourcing new components. Qualifications Engineering Graduate is preferred. Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Procurement/Sourcing. Technical Skills Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, casting, and electronics . Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or MS Dynamics . Knowledge of Should Costing, Cost Breakdown Analysis, and Supplier Audits . Strong supplier negotiation and communication skills.
