g inputs for quotes and planning. You will work with proposal management and procurement teams to strengthen estimate accuracy and enable informed sourcing decisions. Your focus is to drive cost-effective manufacturing estimates while applying lean principles to improve the estimating process.
Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for raw materials, externally sourced components, and labor for manufacturing proposals.
• Review product structures and BOMs to identify required parts, quantities, and cost drivers.
• Assess fabrication and assembly processes (machining, welding) to develop realistic production cost assumptions.
• Analyze labor content for assembly and shop activities to support accurate proposal pricing.
• Collaborate with proposal management and procurement teams to gather supplier pricing and validate assumptions.
• Create and manage purchase order inputs and procurement documentation supporting buying activities.
• Apply lean manufacturing concepts when evaluating cost opportunities and process efficiencies in estimating. xklufbp
• Utilize company procurement and estimating tools to organize data and maintain consistency across proposals.
