Procurement Specialist

Procurement Specialist Krosswood Doors - Tucson, AZ Full time | $65,000 - $75,000 per year | Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Krosswood Doors builds solid core interior and exterior doors at our facility in Arizona and ships them to all 50 states and every province and territory in Canada. We source locally, domestically and internationally. We are hiring an on-site Procurement Specialist. You will manage our vendor relationships on site, inspect incoming product, and own our freight carrier relationships and the damage and shortage claims that come with them. Responsibilities - Host and manage vendor visits, audits and quality reviews at the plant - Inspect incoming product at container devanning and on domestic deliveries, evaluating it against both vendor and internal quality guidelines, and document defects, shortages and damage - Manage inbound and outbound freight relationships, including carrier performance, rates and scheduling - Own the damage and shortage claim cycle end to end, from the OS&D notation at delivery through filing, documentation and settlement - Partner with Operations and the warehouse team on receiving issues and vendor recovery - Raise and close Vendor Return Authorizations with domestic and international suppliers - Participate in the weekly inventory adjustment review and identify what should be recovered from the vendor Qualifications - Two or more years in purchasing, supply chain or vendor management in a manufacturing or distribution environment - Demonstrated experience inspecting incoming product and documenting defects, shortages and damage - Demonstrated experience managing freight carriers and filing and settling freight claims - Experience writing, rolling out and implementing SOPs, or working closely with those who do - ERP procurement experience, NetSuite preferred - Advanced Excel - Strong written documentation skills, particularly for claims and vendor correspondence Preferred - Continuous improvement experience: 5S, lean, just-in-time or similar - Imported container experience, including customs documentation and forwarder coordination - Spanish - Building products, millwork, or doors and windows This role is based at our Tucson facility and is on site daily. It reports to the VP of Procurement and works closely with Operations, the warehouse team and our suppliers. Procurement is a small team, and the Procurement Specialist will have direct ownership of vendor and carrier outcomes from the start.
