Procurement Specialist

Job Summary The Procurement Specialist coordinates the purchasing of raw materials, equipment, and operational supplies to support manufacturing activities. In this role, you will manage supplier relationships, execute purchase orders, and monitor inventory levels to ensure seamless production operations. Key Responsibilities Issue purchase orders and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery of production materials. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with qualified suppliers and vendors. Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and contract terms with suppliers. Monitor inventory levels to prevent production downtime and avoid excess stock. Resolve vendor discrepancies regarding shipment delays, damaged goods, or billing issues. Maintain accurate procurement records, purchasing databases, and supplier reports. Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within manufacturing. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or inventory software. Strong negotiation and vendor management abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
