un competitive solicitations and award contracts. We then make those contracts available to more than 30,000 members nationwide, saving schools, governments, and nonprofits the time and cost of running their own solicitations. That means the work you do helps classrooms, communities, and public agencies get what they need faster and for less.
This role is built for someone at the start of their career. Whether you just graduated or have a few years of experience under your belt, you will get hands-on mentorship from a Sr. Director of Procurement and a clear path for advancement. You will learn how public solicitations work from start to finish, and you will own real projects, from writing scopes of work and specifications to helping evaluate supplier proposals and supporting contract awards.
We are a team of about 40 people with a culture where everyone is engaged and empowered to contribute directly to the success of the company. If you are curious, organized, and excited to learn, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Do
• Support our Lead Agencies and members by learning what they need and delivering procurement services that meet or exceed their expectations.
• Help develop and refine category strategies (a sourcing roadmap) with Lead Agencies, members, and your Sr. Director of Procurement.
• Lead the development of RFPs and solicitations, with guidance from a Sr. Director of Procurement, including scopes of work, specifications, evaluation criteria, questionnaires, and everything else needed to release a formal public solicitation.
• Do market research through supplier outreach, industry channels, and other resources to understand what each sourcing category requires.
• Share Equalis Group's values with prospective suppliers and serve as their point of contact during the solicitation period.
• Review and summarize supplier responses, share insights with Lead Agencies, and support evaluation committees.
• Build and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
• Spot ways to improve our sourcing process and bring your ideas to the Sr. Director and Vice President of Procurement.
• Manage solicitation timelines and deliverables across contract award cycles, and keep solicitation documentation and files complete.
• Support contract award and onboarding documentation.
What We Are Looking For
• A bachelor's degree in business, public administration, supply chain, or a related field, OR 0-3 years of public procurement-related experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with or a strong interest in learning solicitation and RFP development, project management, relationship management, and negotiation.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A self-motivated, results-oriented approach, with the ability to work remotely when necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Adaptability, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Why You Will Love It Here
• Hands-on mentorship from a Sr. Director of Procurement.
• A clear path for advancement as you grow.
• Meaningful work that helps schools, universities, governments, and nonprofits nationwide.
