Procurement Specialist

$37hr contract job ROLE IS HYBRID - Onsite required for first 2 weeks for training; HYBRID SCHEDULE EXPECTED FOR CONTRACT West Hollywood, CA 90048 Job Summary As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll coordinate purchasing and sourcing activities to help teams secure the materials, services, and contracts they need. You’ll apply procurement management practices, supplier management experience, and supply chain knowledge to support timely, compliant decisions. Your impact: Effective sourcing and contract management help internal teams meet project and operational needs while supporting reliable supplier relationships. Duties Manage purchasing, procurement, and category management activities, including strategic sourcing and pricing reviews. Lead procurement contract negotiation, direct negotiation procurement, and vendor contract management; maintain contracts and support contract management throughout their lifecycle. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams through cross-functional collaboration to align requirements, quality management, logistics, and materials management. Use e-procurement systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), to support procurement, materials planning, and records. Apply material requirements planning (MRP), production planning, project management, and procurement regulatory knowledge, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) where applicable. Qualifications Experience in procurement, purchasing, supplier management, supply chain management, or a related field. Knowledge of procurement negotiation, contract negotiation, procurement contract management, and procurement category management. Familiarity with SAP, Oracle EBS, ERP systems, e-procurement systems, MRP, logistics, and supply chain processes. Ability to assess pricing and quality, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate across functions. Public sector purchasing experience and knowledge of FAR are preferred.
