Procurement Specialist

Keeping purchasing organized requires good judgement, careful follow-through and clear communication with suppliers. We are looking for a Procurement Specialist in Cincinnati to support purchasing activities, coordinate supplier relationships and help ensure the business obtains the materials and services it needs at the right time and within budget. You will handle purchase requests from initial review through order placement and delivery tracking, working with internal departments to resolve delays, check costs and maintain accurate purchasing records. Key Responsibilities Review purchase requests and obtain quotations from suitable suppliers. Compare pricing, delivery schedules and product specifications before making purchasing recommendations. Prepare and issue purchase orders, checking details for accuracy. Communicate with vendors about order confirmations, delivery dates, pricing and outstanding issues. Monitor open orders and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries. Maintain supplier information, purchasing documents and order records. Work with finance and internal teams to resolve invoice or order discrepancies. Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and manage spending more effectively. Skills and Experience Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain administration. Good negotiation and supplier communication skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, purchasing systems and standard office software. Strong attention to detail when reviewing prices, specifications and order information. Ability to organize multiple requests and follow up on outstanding items. Knowledge of purchase orders, vendor management and inventory processes is beneficial.
