Procurement Specialist

Job Summary ION Corporation has supported Space Flight, Aerospace and Defense industries since 1984. ION sets a high standard for product quality and customer care in these industries while designing and manufacturing custom electronics, test systems, electrical cables/harness assemblies and other products for life-dependent applications. ION’s Procurement Specialist assists the quotation and manufacturing processes within the Procurement Department ensuring ION’s processes and material inventories are in place to support schedules while meeting cost budgets and customer or ION requirements. The role may include in-depth review of drawings, specifications, material analysis, and more. Responsibilities and Duties Maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Data entry and working with bills of materials and parts lists. Identify material shortages in proposals and contracts. Gather competitive bids from approved suppliers to fulfill material shortages. Daily tools can include, but are not limited to, MRP/ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, Number Crunchers, MS Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), CAD systems, etc. Generate procurement documentation as required, including processing of orders. All other duties as assigned. Education and Experience 2 years procurement experience preferred. Salary depends on qualifications experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
