Location: Washington, DC Employment Type: Part -Time or Full-Time Experience Level: 1–5 Years About the Role Prime Partners Engineering (PPE) is seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Procurement Specialist to support procurement, proposal development, contract administration, vendor research, and business development activities. This role is well suited for an early-career professional who enjoys research, organization, writing, and working across multiple projects. The Procurement Specialist will help identify and evaluate vendors and subcontractors, conduct market and pricing research, support RFP/RFQ responses, maintain procurement and contract documentation, and assist with the preparation of professional business and procurement materials. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing competing deadlines, and able to research unfamiliar technical or industry topics and turn information into clear, accurate, professional deliverables. Key Responsibilities Support procurement activities, including vendor and subcontractor research, sourcing, pricing analysis, and documentation. Conduct market research to identify qualified vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and potential business partners. Research and compare pricing, services, qualifications, capabilities, and other factors to support procurement and business development decisions. Assist with RFP, RFQ, proposal, and solicitation responses, including researching requirements and coordinating supporting materials. Support the preparation, review, editing, and submission of procurement and proposal packages. Maintain organized and accurate procurement, vendor, contract, and proposal records. Assist with contract documentation, renewals, vendor information, and related administrative activities. Research technical, engineering, utility, construction, and regulatory information as needed. Prepare professional correspondence, reports, summaries, spreadsheets, and other procurement-related documentation. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to collect information and meet submission deadlines. Track procurement activities, deadlines, requests, and outstanding documentation. Review documents for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable requirements. Use Microsoft 365 and other technology tools to improve document management, research, reporting, and workflow efficiency. Use AI-enabled tools to support research, content development, data analysis, and administrative workflows while independently validating outputs for accuracy and completeness. Support additional procurement, contract, proposal, and business development initiatives as needed.
