Procurement Specialist

The QTI Group has partnered with a manufacturing client in the Greater Madison area as they look to hire their next Procurement Specialist. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this role will play a key role in the sourcing and negotiation of procured commodities/services and will coordinate the purchasing process of selected commodities. This role will also provide Responsibilities Perform various purchasing related functions including sourcing, negotiating and developing purchasing agreements with suppliers Obtain quotes from vendors, comparing quotes to identify competitive pricing Perform supplier analysis related to pricing and quality, selecting alternative suppliers when needed Database management including updating MRP data and report generation for various purchasing data Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or similar field preferred 3+ years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain-oriented role Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system Previous experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred
