The Opportunity This role sits within the Global Procurement Business Partnering group which is focused on enabling greater customer centricity in Global Procurement by gathering and sharing business insights and feedback, promoting procurement solutions and services and simplifying partnering with procurement for the business. As the Procurement Partnering Lead PT, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge to bring vision, guidance, prioritization, and focus on customer engagement and satisfaction. Thanks to your deep ambassadorial and partnering skills you will nurture the relationship with key and senior internal Roche business customers to become a strategic partner and advisor, able to influence decision making and/or remove barriers relating to procurement services and solutions. Based on your specialized and in-depth knowledge about your business customer’s strategy, priorities and needs, you proactively identify and anticipate customer needs and opportunities (push and pull opportunities) to increase overall procurement value delivery to internal Roche business customers. You will work closely with relevant capabilities of all chapters in procurement, to develop a targeted procurement customer strategy that prioritizes and focuses efforts to drive value back to the customer and achieve overall targets and performance metrics. You will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and the general business/team requirements, including but not limited to these core responsibilities: You act as a customer domain expert using a deep understanding of business customer strategies and objectives to provide business-related insights and opportunities to the procurement organization to enable and develop effective and desirable procurement offerings for multiple material and service categories which support the Holly Springs site operations. You collaborate with internal stakeholders to define specifications, requirements, and budgets for goods and services. You lead and support the issuance of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) in close collaboration with the respective Global Category Managers to qualify prospective suppliers. You lead and coordinate the negotiaten pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, service level agreements (SLAs), and volume discount while protecting Roche to protect intellectual property, ensure liability coverage, and define contract fulfillment requirements. You develop and report spend analysis, trends, and opportunities, proactively working with internal partners to eliminate unnecessary spend and maximize purchasing power. You partner with the supply chain to identify, mitigate, and/or eliminate single-source dependencies, geopolitical risks, and financial instability among vendors to create contingency backup plans. You support all site start-up activities including the creation and maintenance of material master data (purchasing info), partner with the site to issue purchase orders or resolve discrepancy issues.
