About the role

We are seeking a proactive and solution-oriented Procurement Operations Specialist to support Barry’s Procurement function. This role partners closely with the VP of Procurement and cross-functional teams to support equipment and supply management, vendor and logistics coordination, and reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders, and approaches challenges with urgency and a positive, solution-driven mindset.

What you'll do

Equipment Procurement

  • Manage equipment quotations, purchase orders, and vendor follow-ups through final delivery
  • Support landed cost calculations, pricing reviews, and recurring procurement reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and procurement systems to ensure data integrity
  • Support project management for New Studio Openings, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met

Logistics & Shipping

  • Coordinate international shipments with vendors and freight forwarders
  • Track and manage domestic and international freight, including exception handling and issue resolution
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure timely receipt and distribution of equipment and supplies

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendors, freight forwarders, warehouse partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional initiatives requiring coordination, follow-through, and problem-solving
  • Proactively communicate updates, risks, and resolutions to relevant partners

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills across vendors, partners, and internal teams
  • Positive, solution-driven mindset with a strong sense of urgency
  • Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, macros); Python for simple automations preferred
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
