This is a Fully Remote Job About Our Client: The organization operates in the supply chain and procurement industry, focusing on managing operational procurement activities across multiple global sites. It addresses challenges related to sourcing, supplier negotiation, inventory optimization, and procurement process management to support production and cost-saving initiatives. About the Opportunity: The PROCUREMENT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST II role is responsible for supporting operational procurement functions, including managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring material availability for production, and optimizing inventory and cash management. This position contributes to cost savings programs and enforces procurement policies and standards to ensure efficient and compliant procurement operations at the site level. Responsibilities: Ensure materials availability for scheduled production while minimizing inventory Contribute to multiyear cost savings initiatives Negotiate and establish favorable pricing and contracts with local suppliers Execute local eSourcing activities, including supplier training and event management Manage site cash through appropriate economic order quantities and payment terms Support category management by promoting category strategies and ensuring timely purchase orders Coordinate with Quality and Regulatory departments to ensure timely supplier material qualification Monitor procurement metrics and KPIs for timely delivery and risk mitigation Prepare business cases for plant savings for global procurement submission Assist in capturing cost savings and avoidance during purchase order placement Serve as site contact for procurement operations inquiries and escalations Maintain supplier relationships and prepare performance and risk management reports Assist with contract management for local suppliers with legal referral as needed Identify new suppliers, conduct selection, and negotiate at the country level Provide ERP system training to internal stakeholders Manage past due purchase orders to ensure receipt of goods and compliance with payment terms Perform day-to-day procurement operations including policy enforcement, transaction management, and fiscal response Execute procure-to-pay processes including purchase orders, change notices, supplier returns, and invoice resolution Implement and manage change for global procurement standards and processes Ensure awareness and compliance with procurement policies and maintain effective working relations with internal and external partners Requirements: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field One year of relevant supply chain experience Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems Knowledge of inventory management and demand forecasting Experience performing vendor contract negotiations Ability to analyze performance using Power BI dashboards Pay Range and Compensation Package: Salary Amount/Range $68,931 - $81,000 per year Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
