Procurement Operations Director Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement operations strategies aligned with company objectives. Oversee purchasing activities, supplier coordination, procurement processes, and daily operations. Establish procurement policies, procedures, and performance standards. Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, pricing, and vendor relationships. Monitor procurement costs, purchasing performance, delivery schedules, and supplier quality. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency, purchasing processes, and resource utilization. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Supply Chain teams to support business requirements. Develop procurement budgets, forecasts, and performance reports. Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans. Maintain procurement documentation and support internal control procedures. Identify potential supply disruptions and develop appropriate contingency plans. Improve procurement workflows through technology, data analysis, and process standardization. Lead, mentor, and develop procurement managers and operations teams. Provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to senior management. Experience & Qualifications 20+ years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, or operations. 10+ years of team management and leadership experience. Extensive experience managing procurement operations, supplier relationships, contracts, and budgets. Strong understanding of sourcing strategies, cost management, purchasing procedures, and supplier performance evaluation. Proven ability to improve procurement efficiency and manage complex purchasing requirements. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working with senior management. Excellent negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or a related field preferred; MBA or relevant procurement certification is an advantage.
