Procurement Manager

Location: Santa Clara, CA / Redwood City, CA Job Type: Contract Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel Job Summary Our Client is seeking an experienced Indirect Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement optimization. The ideal candidate will drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, streamline procure-to-pay processes, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrixed organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute indirect sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and optimize total cost of ownership. Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-reduction opportunities across multiple business platforms. Lead RFQ/RFP processes, supplier evaluations, and sourcing decisions. Negotiate supplier contracts, Master Services Agreements (MSAs), pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements. Manage multiple sourcing projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and savings targets are met. Build strategic supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance. Improve procurement workflows, purchasing channels, and procure-to-pay (P2P) processes. Partner with Legal, Procurement Leadership, Finance, and business stakeholders to mitigate commercial risks. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements. Support supplier diversity, continuous improvement, and enterprise-wide sourcing initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or a related discipline. Strong experience in supplier negotiations and commercial contract management. Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects and multiple stakeholder priorities. Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SAP procurement workflows, SAP Ariba, or similar sourcing platforms. Background in indirect procurement, facilities management, or asset procurement. Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or regulated industries. Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820. Experience working in large, cross-functional or matrixed organizations. Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, PMP, CAPM, ISM, or Lean/Six Sigma are preferred.
