In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. THE OPPORTUNITY We're looking for a Procurement Manager to own sourcing and supplier strategy for assigned categories here in the U.S., while collaborating closely with Asahi's global category teams. You'll negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and drive total cost of ownership — balancing local business needs with global best practices. WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT ? Act as the local category expert, implementing category strategy and representing local business needs to Asahi's global category teams ? Manage CapEx and OpEx categories, negotiating contracts and supporting the broader team in negotiations and implementation ? Define and maintain sourcing strategies for locally managed categories, aligned to business needs and priorities ? Analyze market trends, competitors, and supplier data to inform sourcing decisions ? Build and manage supplier relationships, including evaluation, accreditation, and performance/quality controls ? Partner with Legal, Tax, and other functions to ensure supplier contracts are properly in place ? Manage category and supplier risk — price volatility, supplier stability, and volume assurance ? Track performance against procurement KPIs and lead continuous improvement projects to drive further cost and value gains WHAT YOU BRING Must-haves: ? University degree, preferably in a business-related field ? 5+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in procurement ? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office ? Experience with procurement platforms and ERP systems ? Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills Nice-to-haves: ? Experience managing CapEx/OpEx categories in a manufacturing or CPG environment ? Prior people-management experience BENEFITS & PERKS ?
