Procurement Manager

A growing food manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Procurement Manager to source raw proteins, ingredients, packaging, and supplies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost and inventory strategy alongside senior leadership. Responsibilities: Lead sourcing/procurement strategy for raw materials and packaging Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements Manage supplier performance, KPIs, and risk mitigation Forecast demand and optimize inventory levels Collaborate cross-functionally (Ops, QA, Sales, Finance) Ensure USDA/food safety compliance on all purchased materials Utilize ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory analytics Requirements: Bachelor's in Business, Supply Chain, or related field 5+ years procurement/purchasing experience, ideally in food/protein manufacturing Strong ERP/MRP experience (Canopy or similar) Solid financial acumen (cost analysis, variances, margins) Knowledge of USDA/GMP/HACCP preferred Strong negotiation and cross-functional collaboration skills
