Client Overview Our client is a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in the development and manufacturing of biologics, particularly antibodies, for the biopharmaceutical industry. Backed by a globally integrated pharmaceutical parent company, the organization is growing its operations. Our client is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier management for its GMP operations. Salary/Hourly Rate $125,000 - $150,000 Position Overview Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain & Logistics, the Procurement Manager will develop and execute global procurement strategies that support cancer immunotherapy drug development and GMP manufacturing. This role blends sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, and team leadership, with travel as needed. Responsibilities Of The Procurement Manager Develop and execute global procurement strategies aligned with company objectives in immunotherapy drug development and GMP manufacturing. Lead the procurement team in sourcing raw materials, equipment, and services while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness; negotiate contracts that optimize value. Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Finance, and other G&A functions to forecast needs and keep the supply chain running smoothly. Implement new procurement processes and technologies that improve efficiency and accuracy. Prepare and manage the procurement budget and deliver regular performance, metrics, and cost-savings reporting to senior leadership. Build and maintain risk management strategies that reduce supply chain vulnerability. Stay current on industry trends and developments in procurement and supply chain. Required Experience/Skills For The Procurement Manager 3-5 years of procurement or distribution experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Strong understanding of global supply chain dynamics and regulatory requirements specific to biotech and pharma. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, manage complex projects, and negotiate high-value contracts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to handle a high volume of transactions with a high degree of accuracy and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Procurement Manager SAP experience. Procurement experience within a CDMO, biologics, or GMP manufacturing environment. Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate marketplace changes and adapt procurement strategies accordingly. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
