This Position This position is responsible for managing the perpetual school supply procurement operation of The Public Education Foundation (PEF). This position will be responsible for the procurement management of both the Classroom In A Box program as well as traditional retail functions of the Teacher Superstore, as dictated by the peaks of teacher demand under the direction of PEF Senior Management. This position will also be responsible for collaborating with PEF’s Volunteer management staff to optimize the function of volunteer activities around school supply events and distribution. This position reports to and is directly responsible to the Co-President/CFOO. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The list of Essential Duties is not exhaustive and may be supplemented. 1. Assist in the processing of new inventory and stocking shelves. 2. Establish and ensure proper par levels for necessary supplies are ordered and stocked. 3. Review and reconcile sign in sheets to individual teacher sales history. 4. Ensure store appearance and equipment is maintained in a clean and consistent manner. 5. Maintain required financial and inventory reporting as prescribed. 6. Conduct monthly inventory cycle counts and lead physical count at fiscal year-end. 7. Serve as a liaison for donation pick-ups and deliveries. 8. Provide exceptional customer service during retail operation(s). 9. Accurately sort, organize and process incoming purchases and donations. 10. Coordinate deliveries or incoming donations and assist with loading/unloading if necessary. 11. Move and stage items using a pallet jack or other equipment. 12. Pull inventory from warehouse as requested for placement in the store, targeted giving and/or delivery. 13. Assist in ensuring the store is properly prepared for retail operation(s). 14. Other duties as assigned. Position Expectations: 1. Possess reasonable analytical skills, sound judgement, and willingness to take direction and provide constructive feedback. 3. Ability to deal with a range of personality styles and behaviors in a tactful, pleasant and personable manner. 4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and reprioritize in order to meet deadlines. 5. Self-starter with attention to detail and excellent organization skills. 6. Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision. 7. Professional and diplomatic demeanor and conduct in all interactions, both internally and externally. 8. Able to work under pressure, while maintaining attention to details and meeting deadlines. 9. Strong organizational skills and basic software competencies in Microsoft Excel and Word. 10. Ability to work flexible hours when required. 11. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Position Requirements Education and Training: 1. High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e. GED, foreign equivalency, etc.). 2. Demonstrate engagement in life-long learning. 3. Minimum three (3) years successful experience in a similar or related position. Work Environment: 1. Strength: Medium - Heavy ⸺ Occasionally: 50-100lbs. ⸺ Frequently: 25-50lbs. ⸺ Constantly: 10-20lbs. 2. Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stopping, kneeling, climbing, crouching, reaching, handling, and repetitive fine motor activities. Stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time. Hearing and speech to facilitate in-person communication, via video conference and computers, or over the telephone. Vision: Frequent near and far acuity and color vision. Vision to read printed and online materials, or other monitoring devices. 3. Environmental Conditions: Varies – from climate-controlled office setting, to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from mild/moderate to extreme cold/heat.
