About the Role We’re hiring a Procurement & Inventory Coordinator to keep our parts, materials, and supplies stocked, tracked, and ready when our crews and shop need them. Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll manage purchasing from request through delivery, maintain accurate inventory records across our yard and shop, and work closely with Field Operations, the Service/Maintenance team, and Project Management to make sure nothing holds up a rental or a job. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-driven person who enjoys working with vendors, solving supply problems before they become delays, and keeping systems clean and accurate. What You’ll Do ● Process purchase requests from the shop, field crews, and project teams, sourcing the right parts, materials, and supplies at competitive pricing ● Create and track purchase orders from issue through delivery, following up with vendors on lead times, backorders, and delivery issues ● Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, obtaining quotes and comparing pricing, quality, and availability ● Maintain accurate inventory records for parts, consumables, attachments, and jobsite materials across the yard and shop ● Set and monitor reorder points for high-use items to prevent stockouts that affect rentals, repairs, or project schedules ● Receive incoming shipments, verify them against purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies, damages, or shortages ● Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits, investigating and correcting variances ● Coordinate with the Service/Maintenance team on parts needed for scheduled maintenance and equipment repairs ● Support Project Managers with material planning and procurement for upcoming jobs ● Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving records, and work with accounting to resolve billing discrepancies ● Keep the parts room and storage areas organized, labeled, and easy to navigate ● Provide management with regular reports on inventory levels, spending, and vendor performance What We’re Looking For ● 2+ years of experience in procurement, inventory control, or a related role, preferably in construction, equipment rental, or a parts/service environment; purchasing experience strongly preferred ● Trustworthy and dependable, with strong integrity when handling company purchases, vendor relationships, and inventory ● A self-motivated go-getter who takes initiative to find the most reliable vendors at the best prices ● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities at once ● Comfortable negotiating with vendors and following up persistently on open orders ● Working knowledge of heavy equipment parts and construction materials a plus ● Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new software systems ● Clear communicator who works well with field crews, mechanics, and…
