Procurement Director
ConfidentialPosition Overview We are seeking a strategic and action-oriented Director of Procurement to provide enterprise-wide leadership for the procurement and supply chain function. This executive-level role is responsible for aligning procurement strategy with organizational priorities, capital planning, operational continuity, and long-term financial objectives. Veterans are strongly preferred. The Director of Procurement will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, contracting, procurement governance, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and enterprise risk management. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this individual will establish procurement policies and controls, guide complex sourcing initiatives, and ensure the organization maintains transparency, accountability, and operational excellence across all procurement activities. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively responsible procurement experience, including significant leadership experience within a public-sector, utility, manufacturing, government contracting, defense, or other highly regulated environment. Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier governance, contract administration, and procurement compliance. Strong background in negotiating complex contracts and managing enterprise supplier relationships. Experience leading procurement organizations responsible for large operating and capital expenditures. Advanced understanding of supply chain management, logistics, materials management, inventory control, and procurement operations. Proven ability to advise executive leadership on procurement strategy, enterprise risk management, and cost-optimization opportunities. Experience with ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and procurement analytics tools. Strong leadership capabilities with experience building high-performing teams and developing future leaders. Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Military service and leadership experience are strongly preferred. Experience gained through military, government, defense, utility, or other mission-critical organizations will be viewed favorably.
