About EQAO The Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) is an arm's length government agency of the Ministry of Education. EQAO contributes to the continuous improvement of Ontario's publicly funded education system. The agency creates and delivers engaging and relevant online curriculum-based large-scale assessments for students that lead to further insights and information needed to support student learning and improve student outcomes. About the job In this role, you will: lead end-to-end procurement processes, including competitive tendering, vendor communications and contract development provide advice to internal teams on procurement strategies, risk mitigation and compliance with OPS directives and EQAO policies develop and update procurement policies, procedures, templates and tools to support consistent and transparent practices support EQAO projects by identifying procurement needs and providing expert advice What you bring to the team Procurement and contract management expertise You have: understanding of procurement policies, contract law, risk management, and competitive bidding practices ability to develop procurement strategies and advise on complex tendering processes ability to align procurement plans with diverse project needs and organizational priorities experience interpreting and applying procurement directives, standing agreements, and contract terms Project management and technical skills You are: able to manage procurement timelines and align them with project life cycles skilled in using financial and market analysis to support purchasing decisions proficient with office software to track, report, and present procurement data Communication and collaboration skills You can: provide clear, practical advice to managers and prepare procurement documentation, including memos, tenders, and reports build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to support fair, transparent procurement Analytical and problem-solving skills You can: assess business cases and ensure compliance with procurement rules identify and resolve procurement issues and recommend process improvements review and update procedures, systems, and guidelines to enhance contract management use data and insights to support decision-making and risk mitigation Don't meet every qualification?
