Job Profile The Procurement Student provides administrative, operational, and customer service support to the Procurement team. The incumbent assists with the procurement of goods and services by responding to inquiries, maintaining and updating procurement records and vendor database, preparing draft solicitation documents, processing requisitions and purchase orders, supporting contract administration activities, and ensuring compliance with the City’s Procurement By-Law, procurement procedures, and applicable trade agreements. The Procurement Student serves as a key point of contact for internal departments, suppliers, and external stakeholders while promoting fairness, transparency, and value for money in procurement activities. The position is available immediately through December 18, 2026. Education Actively pursuing a post-secondary diploma or degree in business or a related field. Experience and Knowledge Experience providing customer service in a professional environment. Experience working with purchasing systems, financial systems, or ERP software. Knowledge of e-procurement systems and bidding platforms. Experience in municipal, public sector, or broader public sector procurement. We will ask you for these items if you are hired Proof of current or future enrolment in post-secondary education. Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer) Your compensation The hourly rate of pay, based on the inside workers union's coop grid is $18.75 - $25.94 Hours of work Hours of work are from Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (35 hours per week).
