Procurement Clerk
MPF Products, Inc.Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Clerk to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting procurement activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials and services necessary for operational success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement systems, inventory management, and supply chain processes, contributing to efficient sourcing and purchasing operations. Responsibilities Assist in the processing of purchase orders using procurement management systems. Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and confirm delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions within ERP systems and spreadsheets. Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels and updating inventory databases like AS400. Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues. Communicate effectively with vendors regarding order status, pricing, and contract terms. Analyze Excel data for procurement trends, cost savings opportunities, and supplier performance metrics. Support sourcing activities by researching potential suppliers and evaluating vendor capabilities. Assist in the reconciliation of procurement invoices with accounting software to ensure accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining purchasing processes. Skills Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, or Oracle EBS is essential. Strong knowledge of materials management, inventory control, and supply chain management principles. Experience with purchasing management systems that are technically supported within organizations. Excellent vendor communication skills coupled with vendor relationship management expertise. Ability to analyze data using spreadsheets and Excel for procurement insights and reporting. Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and logistics coordination. Skilled in negotiation techniques for direct procurement and sourcing activities. Knowledge of accounting software integration related to procurement processes. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping. Ability to work collaboratively across departments including logistics, finance, and operations.
