d items. This position will also include supporting the Fleet Service Manager with facilities and yard activities.
Facilitates purchases as requested by shop and office personnel.
Follows purchasing guidelines set by the Shop Service Manager.
Researches and develops vendor relationships, including negotiating pricing and quotes, ensures deliveries are on schedule.
Maintains accurate inventory records.
Ensures that warehouse operations are in accordance with established procedures and policies.
Maintains and reconciles petty cash.
Communicates, encourages, and enforces all Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies and procedures with employees.
Previous purchasing and inventory control experience.
Experience using word processing, spreadsheets, and database software, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Must have interpersonal, management, organization, and planning skills sufficient to direct people and maintain an acceptable level of productivity.
Is open to change and can adjust to shifting priorities.
Possesses a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Education & Work Experience Guidelines
High school diploma or equivalent; Five (5) + years of minimum experience related to purchasing and/or warehouse management; Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as determined by the hiring manager.
