About the Opportunity: The PROCUREMENT BUYER role is key to managing and optimizing procurement activities remotely. The position involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role directly contributes to cost savings, operational excellence, and the strategic direction of the supply chain by independently managing complex procurement cycles and driving value through effective sourcing. Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and partnership potential Lead contract negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable terms Manage supplier relationships and conduct performance reviews Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs Maintain accurate procurement records and manage inventory levels Resolve supplier issues to minimize operational disruptions Enhance procurement processes and systems for efficiency Analyze spend data and develop category strategies Stay updated on procurement technologies and best practices Manage end-to-end procurement process for assigned categories Develop supplier performance management programs Support procurement policy development and implementation Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing roles Expertise in negotiation and contract management Strong knowledge of procurement principles and strategic sourcing Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) Analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment High attention to detail and commitment to quality Familiarity with sourcing strategies and supplier evaluation methods Experience managing indirect spend categories preferred Professional certifications such as CPSM are an asset Pay Range and Compensation Package: The salary for this position is $160,000 per annum Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
