Procurement Associate - Mechanical Equipment
InceedPosition: Procurement Associate - Mechanical Equipment Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience Location: Irving, Texas Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Procurement Associate - Mechanical Equipment to join their team! This is a strong opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys owning the details and keeping critical equipment moving on schedule. In this role, you will support major mechanical equipment purchasing for a fast-paced construction program, helping manage purchase orders, supplier communications, expediting, and delivery coordination. If you have a background in mechanical equipment buying and want to be part of a high-impact team, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities & Duties: Manage purchase orders for mechanical equipment and related systems. Support RFQs, bid tabs, and supplier communication through award. Track long-lead equipment production, shipping, and delivery milestones. Coordinate logistics with EPC and site teams for equipment delivery. Handle PO changes, invoice discrepancies, and closeout activities. Monitor vendor submittals, drawing approvals, and FAT schedules. Support OS&D and warranty claims through resolution. Maintain supplier records, pricing history, and lead-time data. Required Qualifications & Experience: 4-6 years of direct procurement experience. Hands-on experience executing and administering purchase orders. Mechanical buying experience with equipment like chillers or pumps. Working knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and ERP systems. Experience managing long-lead items and expediting deliveries. Understanding of Incoterms, freight terms, payment milestones, and warranties. Strong Excel skills and accurate tracking discipline. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience in data center or mission-critical construction environments. Exposure to OFCI and CFCI delivery models. Familiarity with EPC or GC partner coordination. Experience with factory witness testing or FAT coordination. Ability to read mechanical equipment schedules and submittals. Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Coupa experience. APICS, ASCM, or ISM certification.
