Position Summary We are seeking a detail oriented and organized Procurement and Inventory Coordinator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing equipment and materials, managing vendor relationships, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring that project teams have the supplies they need when they need them. You will work closely with project managers, technicians, and vendors to support both residential and commercial installations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong negotiation skills and a commitment to cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Procurement Source and purchase equipment and materials for residential and commercial projects. Identify and evaluate vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery speed. Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. Process purchase orders and track order status through delivery. Resolve issues related to damaged, incorrect, or delayed shipments. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance. Inventory Management Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations. Track equipment and materials for audio/video, security, surveillance, and structured cabling projects. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Coordinate with warehouse and field teams to ensure accurate stock counts. Identify slow moving or obsolete inventory and recommend actions. Forecast inventory needs based on project schedules and historical usage. Coordination and Communication Collaborate with project managers to understand material requirements and timelines. Coordinate with technicians and field teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies. Communicate with vendors regarding order status, returns, and warranty claims. Provide regular updates on inventory levels and procurement status to management. Support billing and invoicing by verifying received goods and matching to purchase orders. Documentation and Compliance Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and vendor agreements. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Support audit preparation by providing documentation and reports as needed. Track warranties and ensure proper documentation for equipment purchases. Qualifications Required: 1 or more years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations. Experience sourcing and purchasing equipment or materials, preferably in the security, audio/visual, or construction industry. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment. Reliable high speed internet and a quiet home office setup. Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with structured cabling, security systems, or audio/visual equipment.
