What You'll Do
Inventory Management & Optimization
• Analyze inventory trends and performance metrics to support revenue and profitability goals.
• Manage inventory levels to achieve departmental objectives related to on-hand inventory, days of supply, inventory turns, and aged stock.
• Partner with Product Management to develop action plans that mitigate inventory risks, address excess inventory, and resolve supply constraints.
• Minimize financial exposure related to low-turn products, aging inventory, excess stock, and price protection claims.
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Evaluate and recommend strategic purchasing opportunities that maximize business value and financial returns.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to support procurement initiatives and inventory planning strategies.
• Negotiate exceptional return agreements and other vendor accommodations to address excess inventory and business needs.
• Ensure compliance with vendor terms and conditions to reduce organizational risk.
• Recommend and implement improvements based on vendor scorecard reviews and performance analysis.
Operational Excellence
• Manage drop ship billing activities to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition.
• Resolve purchase order disputes, shipment discrepancies, and vendor-related issues with minimal business impact.
• Support Sales, Product Management, and Operations teams as a key escalation point for inventory and procurement matters.
• Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) reviews and inventory forecasting activities.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements and contribute to onboarding and training of new team members.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory management, procurement, supply chain operations, purchasing, or a related discipline.
• Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations that drive business outcomes.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
• Inventory planning and forecasting experience.
• Vendor management and negotiation experience.
• Understanding of supply chain, procurement, and inventory control principles.
• Experience working in a fast-paced distribution, technology, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
