Procurement Agent

Responsibilities Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies. Utilize procurement management systems such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, and other ERP platforms to process purchase orders and manage procurement workflows. Communicate effectively with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms while fostering strong vendor relationships. Monitor inventory levels using materials management techniques and inventory management software to ensure optimal stock levels. Analyze Excel data and spreadsheets to identify cost-saving opportunities, track purchase trends, and support procurement decisions. Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with company policies. Support sourcing initiatives by evaluating supplier performance, conducting direct negotiations, and assisting in vendor selection processes. Experience Proven experience in procurement or purchasing management within a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management principles. Experience supporting purchasing management systems technically and managing vendor communication effectively. Skilled in Excel data analysis for procurement insights and pricing strategies. Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and direct negotiation procurement techniques. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a collaborative setting.
