Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Payables Specialist

Your Day in This Role — East Canton, OH Start your morning by triaging new invoices, matching them to purchase orders, and confirming approvals. As the day unfolds, you’ll coordinate with vendors on payment statuses, queue up check runs and electronic disbursements, and keep our ledgers crisp and current. By afternoon, you’re reconciling account activity, clearing discrepancies, and preparing clean, auditable documentation that keeps month-end close moving smoothly. How You’ll Make an Impact Review, validate, and code invoices in line with company policies and controls. Own vendor communications—answer payment questions and nurture strong relationships. Schedule and process payments (checks and electronic transfers) accurately and on time. Reconcile payables activity; research variances and correct issues swiftly. Organize and maintain complete documentation for all AP transactions. Assist with month-end close and support financial reporting needs. Prepare audit-ready files and respond to documentation requests. Recommend and implement process improvements to boost accuracy and speed. What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s in accounting/finance preferred. Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or a closely related accounting function. Solid grounding in accounting principles and best practices. Comfort with accounting software and Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization. Team-first mindset with the ability to work independently when needed. Clear, professional communication—written and verbal. Skilled at juggling priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
