rivate Label Sourcing Manager will be pivotal in developing and executing sourcing strategies that include cost management and supplier negotiations for Patterson-owned products. This critical role ensures the procurement of high-quality items, while maintaining cost-efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sourcing best practices, supplier management, cost modeling, competitive bidding, and have in-depth experience in the healthcare distribution sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Create and implement strategic sourcing plans for private label healthcare products, focusing on cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency. Conduct cost modeling and profitability analysis to examine suppliers' cost structures and identify cost reduction opportunities. Manage competitive bidding processes to select the best suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service performance. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, supply chain, and finance) to meet product specifications and quality standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust relationships with key suppliers and manufacturers. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and SLAs, ensuring compliance with schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to guarantee product quality and operational excellence, making adjustments as necessary.
• Cost Management & Budgeting: Spearhead cost analysis efforts, leveraging cost modeling to evaluate pricing structures and enhance negotiations. Oversee budgets for private label sourcing, ensuring they align with company financial objectives. Identify and implement cost-saving measures in sourcing processes without compromising product quality.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle of private label products from sourcing and development through to final delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, etc.) for timely and successful product launches. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certifications, and quality standards throughout the lifecycle.
• Market & Industry Insight: Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the healthcare and private label sectors. Conduct market analyses to monitor competitor offerings and pricing strategies, ensuring a competitive edge.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to ensure sourcing strategies meet market demands and customer requirements. Provide strategic sourcing insights for new product development and portfolio management.
• Sourcing Analytics & Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sourcing performance, supplier metrics, cost savings, and other key performance indicators. Utilize data-driven insights to improve sourcing processes.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in category management, sourcing, or procurement.
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience in distribution, supply chain, or B2B sales environments.
Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of private label sourcing, including cost modeling and pricing strategies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FDA, GMP, ISO, etc.) pertinent to healthcare products.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities to foster relations
