Private EMS Co Nighttime Dispatcher

Job Summary Prior EMS DISPATCH experience given hiring priority. As a Private EMS Co Nighttime Dispatcher, you’ll coordinate non emergency medical transportation (THIS IS NOT a 911 call center) and support clear, timely communication among callers, field crews, and partner agencies. You’ll use dispatch tools and sound judgment to assess requests, prioritize calls, and keep operations organized throughout the night. Your impact: Accurate call assessment and dispatch coordination help facilities receive appropriate support and help crews respond with clear, relevant information. Responsibilities Answer single line phones in a not very busy nighttime call volume however with prompt and professional phone etiquette required nonetheless. Dispatch and track units using Angletrack and Roundtrip software and GPS tracking systems to track medics and properly coordinate. Enter call and unit information, transcribe messages, and prepare clear, accurate written records. Apply customer service, analysis, negotiation, and conflict management skills while protecting sensitive information. Assist with obtaining prior authorizations for non emergency calls as required. Assist with QA of run tickets to submit to billing. Requirements Strong customer service and phone communication, writing, typing, and data entry skills; technical proficiency with dispatch systems. (if teachable, can be taught) Familiarity with medical terminology, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and basic life support; emergency medical technician (EMT) experience is required. Knowledge of EMS communication and procedures is an asset. Ability to stay composed, prioritize requests, and handle security-sensitive information during overnight shifts. Experience with emergency medical dispatch, CAD software, GPS, or GIS is preferred. Looking for part-time or full-time. 11pm- 7am. (somewhat flexible in hours but definitely overnight hours) Rate of pay varies on experience and added responsibilities can take on at night in addition to answering phones. Remote position Knowing the Lake Jackson, Sugarland, Missouri City is a plus but also that's learnable as well.
