The Principal Distribution Center Maintenance Technician plays a vital part of the Distribution and Logistics organization as we transform our supply chain to support the rapid growth of the company. This position serves a key role in leading our distribution center strategy, execution of key performance indicators, and driving improved service levels to our stores and customers. This role will support the startup of new multi-channel facility along with the development of new processes to leverage new best in class systems. Salary Pay Range: $75,381-$101,985/year Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a safe and secure environment for team members; adhere to safety programs, procedures, and policies Partner with key vendors to facilitate the installation, commissioning and maintenance of our conveyor system Manage compliance to the processes outlined in the standard operating procedures at the site Oversee the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyor systems, material-handling equipment (MHE), and building infrastructure Diagnose and repair conveyor components, including motors, gearboxes, drives, sensors, controls, electrical circuits, and mechanical assemblies Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), variable-frequency drives (VFDs), control panels, wiring, and other industrial electronic systems Maintain forklifts and other MHE, coordinating specialized repairs and vendor support when required Perform and document preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime Develop and maintain preventive-maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations, equipment condition, operating hours, and business criticality Use the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to create, assign, prioritize, document, and close work orders accurately and on time Monitor PM completion and compliance, identify overdue or recurring work, and take corrective action to maintain established performance targets. Analyze CMMS data to identify failure trends, recurring issues, asset risks, repair costs, parts consumption, and replacement needs. Create regular maintenance reports and communicate equipment health, downtime drivers, PM compliance, emerging risks, and recommended actions to leadership Conduct root-cause analysis on significant or repeat equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions Maintain accurate asset records, equipment histories, technical documentation, manuals, schematics, and maintenance procedures Support the maintenance of building systems and infrastructure, including dock equipment, doors, lighting, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, fire-protection interfaces, and other facility assets Maintain an organized inventory of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, establishing appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels Coordinate contractors, service providers, and equipment manufacturers while ensuring work quality, safety, cost control, and timely completion Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational disruptions, prioritizing repairs according to safety, customer impact, and operational criticality Partner with Operations and Safety leaders to plan maintenance activities that minimize disruption and support safe, reliable throughput Follow lockout/tagout procedures, electrical-safety requirements, manufacturer specifications, and all applicable company and regulatory standards Identify and recommend reliability improvements, equ…
