Organization: Transportation - Central Office Agency Contact Name and Information: Garyck Todd, garyck.todd@dot.ohio.gov Work Location: 1980 West Broad Street, 4th Floor Columbus, Ohio, 43223 United States Compensation: $33.32 Schedule: Permanent - Full Time Work Hours: 7am-3:30pm Classified Indicator: Classified Union: Exempt from union Primary Job Skill: Management What You'll Do The Prebid Coordinator/Manager helps ensure that the construction company submits an accurate, competitive bid Identifies project risks and opportunities before bids are submitted Serves as a key link between estimators, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients during the bidding process Analyzes technical information, identify issues, collect data, and draw sound conclusions while learning new processes. Strong organizational and project-coordination skills, including managing timelines, tracking documents, and responding effectively to inquiries. Proficiency with computer systems and software such as Microsoft Office, along with a willingness to learn specialized tools such as AASHTOWare. The capacity to learn ODOT policies, procedures, and construction-related processes and apply them consistently after training. Additional Information This position is overtime exempt based on FLSA Standards. All exempt new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period. The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
