Position Overview The Parts Advisor plays a key role in supporting customers and the service team by sourcing, recommending, and providing parts and accessories for a wide range of powersports equipment. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver a positive and efficient customer experience. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about the powersports industry. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Assist customers in selecting the correct parts, accessories, and upgrades for their powersports vehicles/equipment. Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs, vehicle type, and usage. Maintain a professional, friendly, and customer‑focused environment in the parts department. Process sales transactions efficiently and accurately through dealership systems. Parts Operations Look up, order, and receive OEM and aftermarket parts using electronic catalogs and dealership systems. Assist with inventory counts, stocking, returns, and organization of parts storage areas. Prepare and stage parts for repair orders and communicate closely with the Service team. Ensure all special orders are processed, tracked, and communicated to customers. Documentation & Compliance Accurately document all sales, returns, and inventory adjustments. Maintain clean, organized parts displays and merchandise areas. Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and safety policies and procedures. Teamwork & Continuous Learning Collaborate effectively with the service, sales, and management teams. Stay current with product knowledge, new accessories, and OEM catalog updates. Participate in training programs offered by manufacturers and vendors. Qualifications Prior experience in a dealership or retail parts environment (powersports, automotive, marine, or similar preferred). Strong understanding of mechanical components and powersports products. Ability to read parts diagrams, catalogs, and manufacturer resources. Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management tools. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle a fast‑paced retail environment. Familiarity with powersports brands (Can-Am, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Polaris, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Arctic Cat, etc.) is a plus. These considerations may cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will depend on the individual candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications. This position may also offer the potential for bonus commissions.
