This position involves drop-and-hook operations with no waiting for cargo loading or unloading. Responsibilities Safely transport containers between port terminals and designated locations. Perform drop-and-hook operations, ensuring trailers and chassis are properly connected and secured. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report equipment issues. Maintain accurate trip records, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation. Follow applicable DOT regulations, port security requirements, and company safety procedures. Communicate with dispatch regarding assignments, container availability, and delays. Qualifications Valid CDL appropriate for the assigned equipment. Valid TWIC card and successful completion of TWIC verification. 2–3 years of port truck driving experience. Familiarity with port terminal procedures, container transportation, and drop-and-hook operations. Ability to operate equipment safely and maintain accurate documentation. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
