Summary
Oversees, supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse teammates concerned receiving, storing,
inventory, issuing, and shipping products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Reviews reports from the AM management team.
  • Conducts a pre-shift inspection of the Warehouse. Determines the readiness of the forklifts, order pickers and other equipment assigned. Also assesses the overall maintenance and condition of the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Advises and demonstrates to the employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
  • Complete reports as needed and communicates essential information to management and day Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.
  • Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to
  • determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Schedules work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Ensures all actions and processes are performed in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Monitors safety of forklift operators and provides training and retraining as needed.
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Determines and improves work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Interviews applicants and evaluates performances.
  • Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and is the first person in the chain of command to resolve grievances.
  • Conducts post-shift inspection of the Warehouse.
  • Provides safety training to teammates in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Trains and retrains employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by the PM Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises teammates in the warehouse daily operations as directed. Is responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems 

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one
year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift certification and other warehouse certifications as needed. Train-the-trainer certifications
preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.
