PM Dispatcher
Unicorn Moving & StorageJob Description Close out today, set up tomorrow. Make sure every promise we made gets kept. As our PM Dispatcher , you are the reason tomorrow goes smoothly. You build the next day's schedule, confirm every crew the night before, close out every job so nothing gets missed on the invoice or payroll, and handle evening communication with customers. In this role, you will support operations for two distinct sister companies sharing yard resources: Unicorn Moving & Storage (residential moves, W-2 crews) and Bluepoint Moving & Logistics (commercial moves, flat-rate contractor crews). Each company operates on its own systems, accounts, and books—you keep them organized and separate. What You’ll Do Afternoon Handoff & Dispatch: Take the 11:00 AM handoff from the morning team, dispatch afternoon crews, and build tomorrow's schedule alongside the Office Manager (matching the right crew, truck, and arrival window). Conduct 3:00 PM check-ins with crew leads. Evening Confirmations & Customer Service: Send crew confirmation texts the night before (Bluepoint confirmed by 6:55 PM CT; escalate any unconfirmed jobs by 8:00 PM CT). Handle evening customer calls regarding arrival windows, site access, and daily follow-ups. Fleet & Truck Turn: Receive returning crews, inspect trucks for safety, and stage/prep roughly 90% of tomorrow’s trucks tonight (target: 30-minute truck turn from return to ready). Daily Close-Outs & Billing Capture: Reconcile crew hours (Samsara vs. billed), capture extra charges/materials, and collect damage photos before crews leave. Prepare payroll hours for Unicorn’s W-2 crews and per-job close-out logs for Bluepoint contractors. Safety Authority: You hold the authority to ground any truck that is not safe to drive. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of experience in moving, dispatching, or field operations management. Technical Skills: Familiarity with dispatch/tracking tools such as SmartMoving, Samsara, RingCentral, or similar dispatch software (training will be provided). Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with the ability to physically inspect, stage, and prep moving trucks on-site. Communication: Clear, professional, and friendly phone demeanor. Fluent in English; Spanish bilingual skills are a strong plus . Detail-Oriented: Focused on finishing the administrative close-out (paperwork, logs, invoices), not just getting trucks parked. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $40,000 – $45,000/year (based on experience). Performance Bonus: Up to $10,000/year in quarterly bonuses tied to a clear dispatch scorecard (100% same-day close-outs, confirmation rates, billing capture). Overtime Pay: 1.5x hourly rate after 40 hours per workweek. Growth Path: Internal promotion pipeline toward Lead Dispatcher or Operations Leadership as both companies expand. About Us & Equal Opportunity We operate on four simple values: Good Vibes Only, Get It Done, 5-Star Attitude, and No Jerks. Unicorn Moving & Storage and Bluepoint Moving & Logistics are equal opportunity employers. All offers for on-site roles are conditional upon a post-offer background check, reviewed in accordance with the City of Austin Fair Chance Hiring Ordinance. Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
