We’re hiring a Plant Supervisor to lead operations at our glass facility in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This role is critical to delivering high-quality, sustainable materials to our customers—safely, on time, and with zero compromise on quality. 1. Position Summary: ● Briefly describe the purpose and key responsibilities of the position The Plant Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing daily production operations at the Wilkes- Barre, PA facility. This position is responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring efficient and safe production processes, and maintaining compliance with quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate closely with the plant’s team to implement production strategies that enhance performance and meet production demands. 2. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise and lead the production team, ensuring adherence to all production schedules and quality standards. Monitor and troubleshoot production processes, addressing any operational issues that arise during manufacturing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient workflow and resolve production-related obstacles. Maintain accurate production records and reporting metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Train and develop team members to promote a safety-first culture and enhance operational performance. Assist in planning and executing production goals in alignment with company directives. 3. Job Qualifications: Education: · Required: High School or Equivalent · Preferred: Associates degree in a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant skills and knowledge. Experience: · Required: 3 years Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role, particularly in a production or manufacturing setting, is crucial. · Preferred: Proven 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, managing a team and coordinating production processes, ideally in manufacturing, recycling, rock quarry, or similar industries. Hard Skills: Production Management: Knowledge of production scheduling, workflow processes, and inventory management. Quality Control: Understanding of quality assurance practices specific to recycling and glass production to maintain standards. Health and Safety Regulations: Familiarity with OSHA standards and environmental regulations relevant to recycling and manufacturing. Data Analysis: Ability to analyze production data to optimize processes and identify areas for improvement. Soft Skills Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey instructions and feedback clearly. Problem-Solving: Proficient in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions promptly. Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with diverse teams and departments. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and solve unexpected challenges in production.
