Plant/Shop Manager

BEAM Minerals is hiring a Plant / Shop Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Grand Junction, CO facility. Here is where you come in… As our Plant / Shop Manager, you will be the senior on-site leader for our warehouse, manufacturing, bottling, and fulfillment teams. You will keep production running smoothly, inventory and supplies stocked ahead of need, equipment maintained, and the team clearly directed and supported day to day. The work you do keeps our shop floor organized, our people aligned, and our production on track. Is this you? You're an organized, hands-on leader who's comfortable managing people, systems, and a fast-moving floor all at once. You lead by example, hold people accountable fairly and consistently, and believe good communication prevents most problems before they start. You're just as comfortable troubleshooting a piece of equipment as you are running a team huddle. You think a few steps ahead, whether that means ordering supplies before they run low or spotting a process that could run more efficiently. Key Responsibilities ● Team Leadership: You are the senior leader on-site for the warehouse, manufacturing, bottling, and fulfillment team, setting clear direction and holding the team to consistent standards. ○ Run daily team huddles and communicate priorities clearly. ○ Build and maintain staffing schedules; approve timesheets, time-off requests, and shift changes. ○ Coach team leads on leadership, prioritization, and communication. ● Production & Operations: You oversee day-to-day production across manufacturing, bottling, and fulfillment, ensuring quality and smooth handoffs between teams. ○ Monitor production throughput and reallocate people and resources to prevent bottlenecks. ○ Apply hands-on mechanical skills to help troubleshoot equipment (motors, pumps, filters, and related systems) alongside team leads. ○ Create and maintain digital systems to conduct data driven inventory management, production planning, file maintenance, and GMP Compliance, leveraging technical skills in spreadsheets and analytics. ● Supply Chain & Procurement: You manage procurement so the shop never stalls waiting on materials or parts. ○ Keep production materials (bottles, lids, labels, boxes, packing materials, and similar supplies) on hand ahead of need by leveraging data driven inventory management tooling. ○ Ensure critical equipment has spare parts on hand to minimize downtime. ○ Monitor and negotiate pricing to secure the best available rates on materials and equipment. ○ Research future equipment needs proactively. ● Process Improvement: You look for ways to make the shop run better, not just keep it running. ○ Identify and lead process improvements across production, fulfillment, and warehouse workflows. ○ Build and maintain spreadsheets and workflow tools that track performance. ○ Evaluate and pilot new tools and technology, including AI, where they can meaningfully improve efficiency. ● Cross-Functional Coordination: You represent the plant to company leadership and keep other departments in the loop. ○ Report on production, staffing, inventory, and quality in regular meetings with company leadership. ○ Coordinate on new equipment planning, forward-looking efficiency initiatives, and compliance documentation. ○ Coordinate with IT/technical support on ShipStation, Shopify, and related systems issues. ● Documentation, Compliance & Safety: You keep the shop safe, documented, and audit-ready. ○ Ensure required forms and logs are complete, current, and properly maintained according to cGMP best practices. ○ Ensure safety protocols are followed for chemical handling, machinery operation, and forklift use. ○ Ensure staff hold required certifications, and escalate training gaps as needed. ● People Development: You help build a team that can grow with the company. ○ Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. ○ Support cross-training so key responsibilities don't depend on…
