Plant Coordinator / Plant Manager

Job Overview As a Plant Coordinator / Plant Manager, you’ll keep manufacturing operations moving safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll coordinate production planning and scheduling, guide teams across manufacturing and other plant activities, and use production management systems and supply chain data to support sound decisions. This role suits a hands-on leader who can connect daily execution with continuous improvement. Responsibilities Coordinate production management, production planning, and production scheduling to align resources, materials, and priorities. Lead plant management and operations activities. Monitor quality control, workflow, and production management systems; identify issues and coordinate timely corrective action. Coordinate all leaders assuring they have a clear understanding of our expectation, their duties and that of their staff. Assure they are implementing those duties consistently. Notice and correct “non-conformance” in the shop. Utilize and position people to amplify strengths. Identifiy systems that are not working or need to be established. Identify required equipment maintenance or additions. Provide / assure training Assure (continue) organization & cleanliness of shop. Make improvement wherever possible Understand plant scheduling. Tweak if necessary to maximize efficiencies. Learn Midwest’s Wheel Tracking System Assure security and limited access to our shop. Experience Experience in manufacturing management, production management, plant management, or a related manufacturing environment. Knowledge of mechanical processes, quality control, Lean, continuous improvement, and process improvement. Strong team leadership and cross-functional communication skills; experience with assembly operations is valuable.
