Planner & Scheduler

The Planner & Scheduler supports the organization by reviewing and importing customer orders, batching and planning production, optimizing releases, and preparing manufacturing documents. This role ensures accurate order processing and efficient production scheduling based on capacity, material availability, internal lead times, and customer delivery requirements. The position works closely with Customers, Sales, Production and Supply Chain to resolve issues and support on-time delivery (OTD). Duties and Responsibilities: Import customer orders into the Vitrum ERP system and verify order accuracy. Communicate with customers and Sales to resolve order discrepancies and clarify requirements. Batch and plan production orders based on capacity, internal lead times, material availability, and target ship date. Release and optimize production schedules to maximize throughput, improve yield, and support on-time delivery. Monitor production schedules, identify potential delays or constraints, and adjust priorities as required. Print and distribute manufacturing orders, labels, and other required production documents. Maintain accurate system data and follow established planning procedures and work instructions. Identify process inefficiencies, report issues, and support continuous improvement and planning automation initiatives. Perform other duties as required to support the P&S department. Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate across departments and follow issues through to resolution. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, ERP systems, and planning software. Understanding of manufacturing workflows, production capacity, and scheduling principles. Self-motivated, accountable, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Experience in production planning, scheduling, order processing, or manufacturing is preferred. ERP system and production optimization software experience is an asset.
